Please note that all proceeds from the sale of the 3 day walker shirt will be donated to Susan G. Komen.
Please support me as I take an amazing journey in the fight to end breast cancer! The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds from the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure™ are invested in breast cancer research and community programs.
I first signed up for a Komen walk 5 years ago. I had recovered from all of my lumpectomy surgeries, chemo, and radiation and was well on my way to recovery. Shortly after signing up, I had genetic testing done and found that I was BRCA positive. After much discussion, I decided to have a double mastectomy, hysterectomy and oophorectomy to reduce the chances of a re-occurrence by a big number.
I pushed up these surgeries as a priority because I was consumed by the thought of cancer returning; thus, I was unable to participate in the walk.
Now fully recovered and back to a healthy me, I am once again drawn toward this event. I look forward to 3 days of fun, sweat, tears, sisterhood, stories and miles and miles of pink.
This July marks my 7th year as a breast cancer survivor. I am hoping to personally raise $1000.00 for every year of survivorship. That is a total of $7000.00.
Please support my team, this cause, and me, as we stand united against Breast Cancer. Thank you for visiting my page. Please check back to see how my training is going as well as my fundraising efforts.
Much love,
Heather
